Caroline Overington is a two-time winner of the Walkley Award for investigative journalism, and a winner of the Sir Keith Murdoch Prize for excellence in journalism. She writes bleak novels about loss, and pain; she's a mother of twins that are growing up too fast; and she's a Test cricket tragic.

Mark O’Flynn (Australian)

Mark O'Flynn was born in Melbourne and now lives in the Blue Mountains. He has published four collections of poetry, most recently Untested Cures. He has also published two novels, with a third, The Forgotten World, forthcoming. He also writes short fiction and reviews. In the past Mark worked in the theatre and was commissioned to write several plays. All this activity gets in the way of work and, sadly, vice versa.

Paddy O'Reilly’s award-winning fiction has been published and broadcast widely both in Australia and internationally. Stories from The End of the World won prizes including The Age short story award, and her debut novel, The Factory was broadcast on ABC Radio National in 2009. Her second novel, The Fine Colour of Rust, is published this year in the UK, US and Australia.

Nicola O’Shea is a freelance editor with 16 years’ experience in Australian book publishing. She was a senior editor at HarperCollins for several years before setting up her freelance business in 2004. Since then she has freelanced for a wide range of mainstream and independent Australian publishing companies and worked with many authors. Nicola has taught editing at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney, and facilitated a number of editing workshops for writers and editors.
