From the author of the highly praised The Book of Emmett, Deborah Forster, comes her new novel, The Meaning of Grace, about what it is to be a mother. She talks to Sandra Yates.
Deborah Forster (Australian)
Deborah Foster grew up in Footscray. She worked as a staff and freelance journalist for many years and was a This Life columnist on The Age and The Sunday Age. Deborah Foster is married to Alan Kohler and they have three children. The Book of Emmett, her first novel, was shorltisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award and the Prime Minister's Award for Literature.
Sandra Yates was chair of Sydney Writers’ Festival from 2000 to 2011. She is a former chairperson of Saatchi & Saatchi Australia and the NSW TAFE Commission board. She currently chairs Get Reading! on behalf of the Australian government, and is a board director of UNSW Press and the National Art School.
