Under a Bedouin tent, the sound of the ney flute will intertwine with words on the Auburn streets and take you on a journey around the world. Ageless, genderless, timeless and limitless, the mashing of local poetry and hip hop, and the words of contemporary and historically renowned poets and spoken word artists will bring together strangers who will leave as friends.

Auburn Poets and Writers Group invite the audience to redefine their own space, recreate their own magic and retell their own stories.

Presented by Auburn Poets and Writers Group.
Supported by University of Western Sydney.

Auburn Poets and Writers Group (Australian)

Auburn Poets and Writers Group (APWG) is a dynamic group who write about connections between places, spaces and people. The group was formed in 2005 as an initiative of the Auburn Community Development Network (ACDN) partnership with Auburn City Council. The group has a solid core of regular members from the local community and the wider Western Sydney region, meeting on the third Wednesday of every month. APWG always welcomes new writers!
