How do you build tension and create drama in your stories? Can you make your readers feel your characters’ fear and hope in the face of danger? Libby Gleeson will show you how!

Libby will look closely at the dramatic writing in Mahtab's Story and the new novel Red before showing you some new writing tips to make your stories exciting and your characters believable. For writers aged 9-13 years.

Libby Gleeson (Australian)

Libby Gleeson has published over 30 picture books, short stories and novels for young readers, including the well-loved Hannah series and Dodger. She has won many writing awards in Australia and is widely published internationally. Her most recent picture books are I Am Thomas and Look! A Book. Her new novel, Red, will be published in May.
