With the publication of Cold Light, Frank Moorhouse has completed one of the most ambitious projects in Australian literary history: his trilogy of international affairs and the life of Edith Berry Campbell. He discusses his grand accomplishment with Catharine Lumby.

Frank Moorhouse has written fiction, non-fiction, screenplays and essays, and edited many collections of writing. Forty Seventeen was named Book of the Year by The Age, Grand Days won the South Australian Premier's Award for Fiction and Dark Palace won the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Frank’s work has been translated into several languages. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia for services to literature in 1985 and awarded an honorary doctorate from Griffith University in 1997.

Professor Catharine Lumby is a well-known public commentator who has worked as a news reporter, feature writer and columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald. She was the foundation chair of the media and communications department at the University of Sydney. She is the author of seven books and numerous book chapters and journal articles, and director of the Journalism and Media Research Centre at the University of NSW.
