When thirtysomething New York composer Joshua Cody was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that failed to respond to chemo, he did all the predictable things: got drunk, had anonymous sex, agreed to a bone-marrow transplant, read Ezra Pound and decided to write a book about it all. [sic] is a wild and stimulating ride through music, poetry, design, illness, sex and family. He talks to Richard Fidler.

Presented with 702 ABC Sydney.

In another life Richard was a member of comedy group The Doug Anthony Allstars (DAAS), which played to audiences all over the world.

Joshua Cody (International)

Joshua Cody was just about to receive his PhD when he was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Facing a bone-marrow transplant and full radiation, he charts his struggle: the fury, the tendency to self-destruction and the ruthless grasping for life and sensation in his book [sic].
