Writing about people we know and things that happen to us is tricky business. We rarely see things as they are: we see things as we are.

Join award-winning memoirist Alice Pung as she explores the ways in which we weave emotional truths around historical fact. Discover ways to make a true story read like great fiction by plotting narratives, developing characters, writing good dialogue and creating a sense of place.

Facts speak, but stories sing. Memoir comes to life when seen as a series of stories.

Supported by Pantera Press.

Duration: 3 hours
Maximum capacity: 16 participants
