Nick Lomb has examined a rare astronomical event as a dramatic social and historical phenomenon in his widely applauded, richly illustrated book The Transit of Venus, 1631 to the Present. Enjoy Nick’s lively presentation with a glass of wine and then see many of the items illustrated in the book. Weather permitting there will be an opportunity to stargaze through the telescope used at Sydney Observatory for the 1874 transit of Venus. Purchase a book and get your copy signed on the night. There will also be a special offer on transit-viewing solar glasses.

In partnership with Sydney Observatory and National Trust.
